Sony has unveiled the list of November’s most-downloaded (and therefore most popular) games, and it’s no surprise which game has claimed the top spot.
Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 claims the number one spot, beating out the competition “handily,” according to Sony’s numbers. The second- and third-most-downloaded games, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Fallout 76, fell much further behind in numbers comparatively. For once, though, the list is populated by mostly new releases, with FIFA 19, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, NBA 2K19, and Marvel’s Spider-Man also making appearances. That’s in contrast to the usual long-time top sellers, such as Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V.
On the PlayStation VR, Beat Saber claimed first place, with Creed: Rise to Glory and the ever-popular Job Simulator coming in second and third, respectively. Fortnite continues to dominate the free-to-play scene, while the God of War: Collection proved to be the most-downloaded on the PS Vita, doubtless spurred on by the continuing success of God of War.
Sony only counted these numbers for the month of November, so it will be interesting to see which games move up and down on the list as the holiday season continues. Be sure to check back to see the end-of-year numbers for December.
