THE BUZZ: Sony has detailed the variety of tweaks that will be coming as part of update 1.65 for PlayStation Vita.
No major features or apps will be added this time, instead a number of small enhancements have been added by Sony.
An arrow icon will now appear when the handheld finds new activities in the LiveArea. “After 10 minutes” has been added to the power save menu and Caps Lock is now included on the keyboard screen.
Other improvements such as Near updating more regularly, a percentage bar when installing games and the ability to background download after manually selecting sleep mode have also been added.
EGM’s TAKE: This update brings a few changes that fans have been requesting sine the handheld launched earlier this year. It’s nice of Sony responding quickly to peoples wants and needs, and shows a commitment to the Vita as well as to the fans. Sure they’re not major improvements, but it’s the little things that can go a long way to securing a consoles longevity.
