Update: The 3.12 update is now available to download on PlayStation Vita as a mandatory install, meaning that you will have to update your Vita to play online or access the PlayStation Store.
Original Story: Just a few short days after releasing firmware update 3.10 for PlayStation Vita, Sony has announced that update 3.12 will be “launching shortly.”
“Heads-up – PS Vita 3.12 system update launching soon, improves system stability during use of some features,” Sony wrote on the official PlayStation Twitter account.
Update 3.10 upped the maximum amount of applications that can be placed on the home screen to 500, introduced voice messaging between Vita and PlayStation 4, gave users more control of their memory card management, and added a new calendar app that can sync with Google Calendar.
