PlayStation VR has hit a major milestone: three million units sold.
Sony celebrated the sales number with a post on PlayStation Blog, giving fans a message of thanks, some statistics on the most-played games on the system, and announcing the release dates of two more upcoming titles.
“We’d like to thank all our fans for the amazing support, and we’re thrilled that so many of our gamers have experienced the magic of VR and stepped into the captivating worlds that electrify our senses,” the blog post reads.
It’s no surprise that one of the most popular games of the last decade tops the list of most-played VR titles. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR is officially the most-played PlayStation VR game, followed by PlayStation VR Worlds, Rec Room, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Finally, the post revealed that Creed: Rise to Glory, a VR boxing experience, will arrive on PlayStation VR on September 25th, while class-based sci-fi shooter Evasion launches on October 9th.
“Thanks again to all our amazing fans for helping us achieve this milestone,” the post concludes.
