More details about Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 have been announced on the game’s official website, revealing some more unique features about the upcoming Nintendo DS titles.
As translated by Bulbapedia‘s news service, each game will include online-accessible shops, locations, and missions that grant players special items. Naturally, there will also be areas exclusive to each version, where certain kinds of Pokémon can be captured.
Here’s some of the special features mentioned in the update:
- Join Avenue—an online shop where players can buy stat boosters and breeding enhancers for their Pokemon, accessible via Wi-Fi and wireless Internet
- Two exclusive areas, one for each game: Pokemon Black 2‘s “Water Dungeon” and Pokemon White 2‘s “Lava Dungeon”
- “Fes Missions,” where up to 100 players are required to find certain berries and catch certain Pokémon, earning rare items and other rewards
- Medals—Player’s Trainer Cards can be decorated with 200 kinds of medals (sort of an achievements mechanic)
Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 debut in Japan on June 23, while North America and Europe have to wait until later this fall.
