Pokemon Black 2, White 2 Hosting Downloadable Tournament Challenges
Posted on July 16, 2012 AT 06:28pm
New information has been released about Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2, as the Japanese versions of the game are featuring downloadable Wi-Fi events for their “Pokémon World Tournament” mode. Hopefully, this reflects content that will be directly mirrored in DLC plans for North America, Europe, and other regions.
Per Bulbapedia, the official Japanese Pokémon website has announced that two events will be available for the tournament mode: “Gathering! Gym Leaders” and “Challenge Champion Lance!”
Each event will available via Nintendo’s Wi-Fi Connection, and there’s no expiration date noted on the original announcement.
Double battles are the standard for ”Gathering! Gym Leaders”, which features cameos from characters in past Pokémon titles. “Challenge Champion Lance!” focuses on single battles, which also includes brand-new Pokémon teams for each opponent.
(If you don’t mind spoilers, you can check out the entire list of participating Gym Leaders over here.)
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 release on October 7th in North America, and October 12th in Europe, so expect to see a lot more DS and 3DS units out-and-about that week.
