Pokemon Black 2, White 2 Makes Genesect Available Via Download Event

Many Pokémon Black and Pokémon White players may have found themselves unable to fill out their Pokédex last year, as some types weren’t available in the main game or past Wi-Fi events. Now that Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 are out in Japan and enjoying massive sales, the final entry in the Unova Pokédex will finally be available to download.
Specifically, Genesect, a Bug-type and Steel-type Pokémon that hasn’t been made available to the public, will be given away for free in a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection event on August 11th in Japan.
That’s also good news for everyone else around the world, since the only way to get your hands on one if you’re in a different region will be via trading internationally.
There’s no telling if Genesect will available in a Wi-Fi event for North America and Europe, though, but you shouldn’t hold your breath waiting. Historically, the number of Japan-exclusive Pokémon events has far outweighed that of every other country.
