THE BUZZ: Nintendo has released a debut trailer for Pokemon Black/White 2, featuring in-game footage.

The first details of the game surfaced last week, with the announcement that game would start in Hiougi City in the Isshu Region, more information can be found here.

Pokemon Black/White 2 are set to release June 23 in Japan. No date has been set for a Western release at the moment.

EGM’s TAKE: As the first direct sequels in Pokemon history, fans have high expectations of the latest entries in the franchise. Using the same game engine will allow the development team to expand the world and add more mini-games and entertainment. We expect these two games to be bigger and better than their highly rated predecessors, if they aren’t then Nintendo could suffer … well, pretty much nothing at all. It’s Pokemon and people will buy a gagillion copies if it’s good or not.

What do you think of the game so far? Are you happy with direct sequels? Let us know in the comments below.
