Nintendo Switch

Game Freak is currently hiring several new staff members for a console game based on a globally popular RPG.

An advert for a 3D CG Designer (via Siliconera and IGN) states that the successful applicant will work on characters, monsters, and item models for “a title that everyone knows.”

While a second advert requires applicants with experience in creating models up to the standard of Wii U and PlayStation Vita.

Pokémon isn’t mentioned by name, but it’s a pretty safe guess that it’s the “globally popular RPG” in question.

Late last year, Eurogamer reported that a new mainline Pokémon game, codenamed Pokémon Stars, is in development for Nintendo Switch. According to the report, the third entry in the Pokémon Sun and Moon series is “well into development” and features the same map and art-style, but with higher-resolution assets.
