Pokemon Director Hints at New Game Announcement

THE BUZZ: It appears that fans will get to hear about the next game in the Pokemon series soon.

A question pitched to Pokémon Black/White director, Junichi Masuda, during a recent Q&A session asked how long fans would have to wait. Masuda hinted that people should keep and eye on “Pokemon Smash,” a weekly Japanese TV show that airs every Sunday. He also followed this up on Twitter, repeating the hint and also advising that fans should keep glued to his feed.

EGM’s TAKE: With the 3DS is finally taking off in Japan after a rocky start, could this be the perfect time to unleash a Pokemon 3D adventure? The next game is bound to be the third title to accompany Black/White, just like every previous set of games. Is it taking so long because they are transferring it to 3DS? We’ll have to wait and see.
