Despite being a free-to-play app, and the recent decline in popularity, Pokémon Go is still making millions daily.
According to a report from analyst group Newzoo, Pokémon Go still rakes in over $2 million every day, even after Apple and Google’s 30 percent cut. While impressive, this is a huge mark down from the revenue the game made when it first launched in July, reportedly clocking in at more than $16 million daily.
Other impressive milestones Pokémon Go has hit include a continual 700,000 daily downloads, 550 million total downloads, and over $470 million in total revenue. Apple has also claimed that the app saw more first week downloads than any other app in history.
These impressive numbers do not even factor in major markets like China and South Korea, where the game has yet to be released.
In other Pokémon Go news, developer Niantic Labs has announced special “events” coming down the line.
