Following Pokémon Go developer Niantic’s recent tease of Generation IV’s addition to the mobile game, a data miner has discovered another hint at the impending arrival of the Sinnoh region.

According to well-known data miner Chrales’ recent tweet, a game file for “badge_pokedex_entries_gen4_title: Sinnoh” was uncovered. The same type of badge, which tracks the number of Pokémon caught from a specific region, was previously added to the game shortly before the arrival of both Generation II and III.

While players have been well aware that a new batch of Pokémon is on the way, the leaked file suggests they could be arriving any day now. Plus, Niantic’s recent promotional image celebrating Go‘s second anniversary also included references to the Sinnoh starters, so the developer has clearly already started teasing their introduction.

Many trainers believe Generation IV won’t drop until the end of this year due to the many events Niantic has planned, such as the Celebi Special Research and The Pokémon Company’s launch of Pokémon: Let’s Go. Still, if the region-specific badge is already in the game’s backend, Niantic could have a surprise date planned for Generation IV’s arrival.

For now, trainers will just have to wait and see if Niantic provides any more official hints about the new ‘mons. There are still steps players can take to be ready for the Sinnoh creatures, though. For example, to get schooled on the best new evolutions coming in the next generation, check out our comprehensive list of the Pokémon worth powering up now.
