The reveal of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire yesterday has left some people a little confused about exactly what these games are, if they are new adventures or remakes of the originals? Luckily Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has cleared things up.

The announcement used phrases such as “new adventure” and a “spectacular new world,” which didn’t exactly fit the remakes that the games appeared to be. Satoru Iwata confirmed in today’s financial briefing that both games are “full remakes” of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be coming to 3DS and 2DS this November.
