Who’s the greatest Pokémon in the series’ history—Mew or Rayquaza? That’s the question being posed to fans by The Pokémon Company Inc. right now in the last voting round of the Pokémon Power Bracket fan tournament.
From a field of 32 different “legendary” Pokémon, a comprehensive poll hosted by TPCI now has two finalists for the crown of the fans’ most beloved pocket monster.
There’s actually something at stake too, as the winning Pokémon of the fan vote will be getting a promotional push from the company, as well as a new T-shirt line from Hot Topic.
(Does any Pokémon fan over the age of 15 shop there?)
Right now, the August 22nd deadline has passed for the U.S., and it looks like Mew will officially be announced as the winner once the tournament wraps up the tally later today.
There’s going to be some actual video game content behind it too, as TPCI is also teasing a “a special downloadable prize pack” that will be given away—hopefully, it’s something big for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
