Pokémon Rumble U and its NFC figures are coming to the North American eShop and GameStop respectively August 29, Nintendo announced today.

The game itself won’t receive a retail release—it will only be available on the Wii U eShop for $18. As for the Pokémon near-field communication (NFC) figurines, 18 of those will be available at launch exclusively at GameStop for $4 a pop. Among the 18 launch figures are Pikachu, Victini, Deoxys, Eevee, and Genesect. Their purchase is not required to play Pokémon Rumble U—they simply add Pokémon that can grow stronger in Rumble U by using in-game Coins.

Within the game itself, “every last one” of the 649 Pokémon from up to Pokémon Black/White 2 will be featured.

Pokémon Rumble U is not a traditional Pokémon game, but rather a collection of action-oriented minigames. The title features single-player, co-op, and multiplayer.
