Pokémon X & Y will reportedly contain “Mega Evolutions” for the titular pocket monsters, according to Serebii’s translation of the most recent issue of CoroCoro.

Serebii’s report cites MegaBlaziken, MegaAbsol, MegaMawile, MegaMetwo, MegaLucario, and MegaAmpharos as the form-names of the Pokémon who undergo “Mega Evolution.” There’s also mention of a new character, Koruni, who is described as a Gymn Leader who “holds the key to understanding Mega Evolutions,” so it seems that these new stages will be at the heart of Pokémon X & Y‘s story.

Pokémon X & Y launch on the Nintendo 3DS worldwide October 12.
