Portal 2′s Atlas And P-Body Unleash Havoc In Grand Theft Auto IV

Posted on July 20, 2012 AT 05:55pm

It’s not exactly an accurate portrayal of the innocent co-op robots from Portal 2, but this Grand Theft Auto IV build is still impressively well-crafted. Everything from the hit detection to the shadowing details make Atlas and P-Body look like they blend in as naturally as one could expect amid so much property damage.

About the only thing that doesn’t quite work is the Portals. Or rather, the way they’re used.

Instead of sending everything bouncing around and flying through the air, shooting stuff with the robots’ Portal Guns just kind of blows everything up. Meh, everything can’t be perfect, I guess.

Take a look at the video below, which has a few short clips of the robots hijacking cars, leaping off tall buildings, and destroying various things—with Portals. If you want to play it yourself, you can grab the modded GTA IV file right over here.
