Lego Dimensions

LEGO Dimensions, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games’ entry into the toys-to-life genre, will be getting packs based on Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Portal 2, and Jurassic World.

The building instructions for LEGO Dimensions’ Back to the Future pack (spotted by Brickset) reveal a number of previously unannounced level packs, team packs, and fun packs. The Portal 2 Level Pack contains figures for a turret, companion cube, and protagonist Chell, while the Doctor Who Level Pack features the Twelfth Doctor, K9, and the TARDIS. There’s also a The Simpsons Level Pack that includes Homer, his car, and a television set.

Two Team Packs based on the upcoming film Jurassic World and Scooby Doo were also revealed, which include two characters and two items, but no levels. Finally a number of fun packs were shown, which feature two figures: a character and a vehicle for them.

LEGO Dimensions was officially announced last month, and is described as ?an all-new entertainment experience that breaks the rules of traditional gaming to merge physical LEGO brick building with interactive console gameplay in a manner only imaginable in the world of LEGO games.?

LEGO Dimensions is set to launch on September 27, 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. A LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack will be available at launch, which includes the LEGO Toy Pad?the device that allows players to transport special LEGO minifigures and other LEGO objects into the game?bricks to build the LEGO Gateway, three LEGO Minifigures (Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle), and the Batmobile.
