Possible Skyrim DLC Details: Vampires and Snow Elves Discovered in Patch Files

THE BUZZ: Fans over on the official Skyrim forum have been digging around in the game’s files after the latest update, and have made some interesting discoveries.

A folder named “DLC01″ is located in the update 1.5.26 files and this folder apparently contains assets for new Snow Elf characters, a Snow Elf Princess, crossbows and various vampire animations.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines revealed yesterday that he is hoping to give us a release date for the DLC at some point next week.

EGM’s TAKE: A new race of characters would be a sensible addition via DLC, especially considering how big Elder Scrolls expansions have been previously. We’ve already been told that new quests, locations and features will be added to the game and the Snow Elves could easily inhabit one of these new areas. After waiting for so long this DLC has to be massive, it has to capture fans and keep them playing for a while. If they can blow through it in a day then there will be no point.

What would you like to see added? Let us know in the comments below.
