Monday’s postponed PlayStation Network maintenance will now take place later today, August 28, Sony has announced.
The maintenance is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. until 4:50 p.m. Pacific Time (12:40 p.m. until 7:50 p.m. Eastern Time). During the downtime Sony will “deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network.”
If players have signed into the PlayStation Network at any point since August 23 then they will be able to continue playing online and accessing apps during the downtime. However, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management will be unavailable.
The original maintenance window was postponed following recovery from a distributed denial of service attack over the weekend that took the whole PlayStation Network down.
