Pre-Order Bonuses for Final Fantasy XIII-2

THE BUZZ: Square Enix has announced a slew of retailer specific bonuses you can get by pre-ordering Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Square Enix anticipates FF XIII-2 being a huge hit. Who can blame them, since the original has shipped more than 6.2 million units since its release 18 months ago. So in order to entice you a little more, the company has come up with a series of retailer exclusive bonuses to encourage pre-ordering. Here they are:
GameStop
Receive an exclusive in-game item by preordering at GameStop e/retailers
- Alternate costume for Serah, visible throughout the game
Amazon
Omega Boss Battle
- Unique coliseum battle against boss enemy “Omega,” who joins the player’s party afterward
Best Buy
Collectible Hardcover Book
- FINAL FANTASY XIII – Episode i– novella, an original story that ties together the events of FINAL FANTASY XIII and FINAL FANTASY XIII-2
These preorder initiatives are for North America exclusively and may not reflect preorder content available in other territories.
EGM’s TAKE: We love pre-order bonueses, but the whole retailer exclusive content gets annoying. More companies should take a cue from how Sony handled inFAMOUS 2 and at least include all of the pre-order bonuses in with the Collector’s Edition.
Are any of the bonus items enough to make you pre-order?
