This crazy new world of pre-order bonuses can be scary and confusing, so here’s a guide to what you’ll get when reserving Dead Space 3.
First up is GameStop, which will net you an EG-900 SMG if you pre-order the game. Here’s the description:
This EarthGov-issued sub-machine gun is built for urban warfare. It’s compact but deadly, sporting an internal hyper-accelerator maximum damage.
Hmm, okay, got it. Your other option is Amazon, which will give you the Tesla Enervator. What’s that do?
Sovereign Colonies scientists developed the “Enervator” from an overdriven focus coil to “humanely” eliminate dangerous specimens. The Enervator delivers a precision blast causing instantaneous electrocution and molecular destabilization in the target. In test subjects, death was instantaneous.
So—you can either get a sub-machine gun, or a crazy Tesla gun that instantly electrocutes and disintegrates anything you hit with it. Man, that’s going to be a real tough choice. With as often as GameStop hogs good pre-order bonuses, it’s nice to see the tables turned on them for once.
