Pre-order pages for the PlayStation 4 have begun springing up on the websites of several U.K. retailers, offering our first glimpse at a potential RRP.

GAME has the console listed for £399.99, but requires a £20 deposit with all pre-orders. Whereas Shopto has it down for £449.99, but if you pre-order you can have it for £399.99–the same as GAME with no cash deposit required. It’s unknown if these are just shot in the dark get the pre-orders in early prices or if Sony has met with retailers to discuss pricing before the announcement.

“The PS4 is looking like a truly revolutionary console,” said GAME chief executive Martyn Gibbs. “Sony has raised the bar for how we will experience and access games and how gamers will control their experiences. The new features will give developers a whole new way to create incredible games, so we look forward to bringing the PS4 to the gaming communities of the UK.

“Many console launches have seen demand significantly outstrip supply so we would urge anyone wishing to get their hands on a PS4 from launch to register their interest with our store teams or online as soon as possible.”

This price is around what I expected for the console, it’s obviously not going to be cheap considering the power and the massive amount of features that it is set to bring to the table.

Worth pre-ordering at that price? Share your thoughts below.
