THE BUZZ: Wondering what will come along with the next PlayStation Store update? Here’s a look at what’s known to be coming so far.
EGM’s TAKE: This may or may not be the full list of what’s showing up tomorrow—its very lacking in the way of things like digital PSP or PS1 games, but that just may be the way the cookie crumbles.
First up are two PS3 retail games coming as digital downloads: Mortal Kombat, and Duke Nukem Forever. Two other retail releases are getting demos—The Darkness II and UFC Undisputed 3—and PSN-exclusive PixelJunk Side Scroller also finally gets a demo.
There’s one PSN release announced: Scarygirl, which is based on Nathan Jurevicius’ Scarygirl graphic novel. Now, you might be saying, “Didn’t Scarygirl already come out as a PlayStation Minis game?” Why yes it did! However, that’s a smaller-scale platformer, and not this bigger-budget new platfomer.
Speaking of Minis, three titles round out the release list: Bermuda Triangle, Gold Medalist, and Stick Man Rescue. Gold Medalist is an interesting-sounding game—I suppose “Bronze Medalist” wouldn’t quite be as attractive-sounding of a game.
