Double Eleven has announced that it is collaborating with Introversion Software to release an improved version of Prison Architect‘s Escape Mode on consoles as DLC.

“We’ve previously spoken about our reasons for not including Escape Mode in our development for Prison Architect: Console Edition, a decision which understandably disappointed some players,” Double Eleven wrote. “The short version of the story is that we’re always listening to the feedback from our dedicated console community, and we’re pleased to let you know that we’re about to begin work on our version of  Escape Mode, coming out in 2018 as DLC.”

Escape Mode is available in the PC version of the game and allows players to take on the role of a prisoner and escape from prisons that have been created by themselves or other players.

According to Double Eleven, the console version of Escape Mode will feature reworked gameplay and additional new features.

Prison Architect is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
