Project Fedora Tex Murphy Fundraiser Finally Crosses Kickstarter Finish Line
Posted on June 10, 2012 AT 04:40pm
Whew—for a minute, it looked like Project Fedora wasn’t quite going to make it. But with a little over a week left before hitting their Kickstarter headline, the original team behind the Tex Murphy series have finally gotten the $450,000 necessary to make the next Tex Murphy game.
So, what does that mean for you? Well, at the time this article will post online, you’ll have a little less than five days to get in on the Kickstarter backer benefits before it’s too late. After all, now that Tex Murphy’s return is a sure thing, you know beyond a doubt that anything you donate to the cause is guaranteed to come back to you in the promised perks.
Over 5500-and-counting of Project Fedora’s backers ponied up at least $15 for the various pledge deals, which netted them the Project Fedora adventure game and a lot of other bonuses.
Here’s some of the best rewards in store for the 5500-plus adventure game fans who already pledged:
- All the other Tex Murphy games
- Tex Murphy shot glasses
- An autographed 24″ x 36″ “Project Fedora” poster from Chris Jones, Aaron Conners and the dev team
- An official autographed Tex Murphy fedora
- A personalized voicemail message by the voice of Tex Murphy, Louie, or Rook
- Bronzed Tex Murphy statue
- An official Tex Murphy trenchcoat
- Knowing you made the gaming world a better place
If you want to make a stamp on the fundraiser despite being late to the party, there’s still plenty of the pledge rewards left, especially the $250–$10,000 tier rewards. Just think—you could be one of the only 10 people getting a walk-on role in the latest Tex Murphy title, along with netting all the other downloadable content and gifts.
