Prototype 2 PC Version Delayed
Posted on February 2, 2012 AT 06:23am
THE BUZZ: Radical Entertainment has announced that the PC version of Prototype 2 has suffered a three month delay.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are still scheduled to release April 24, however PC fans will have to wait until July 24 to get their hands on the game. No specific reason was given for the delay.
EGM’s TAKE: PC gamers seem to be getting the short end of the stick lately, with many top releases being delayed behind their console counterparts. Is this to convince players to opt for the console version, or is it down to PC development being more complicated? Considering how much developers worry about piracy with PC versions of their titles, it makes sense to delay the game to ensure maximum profits from consoles. More teams are shying away from the PC, which makes us wonder what will the market be like in five years time?
