PS Plus Members Getting 5 Free Games in April, Free Weekly Movie from EPIX

PlayStation Plus members can expect 5 free games this month, plus a whole slew of discounted content.

Demon’s Souls (PS3), Malicious (PS3), Labyrinth Legends (PS3), Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny (PSP, supported on Vita), and Zombie Tycoon 2 (PS3 and PS Vita, Cross-Buy and Cross-Play supported) will all be be available free for PlayStation Plus members. Demon’s Souls is available today as part of this week’s update, along with several discounted titles/dlc:

  • The Walking Dead Season Pass ($10.49)
  • The Walking Dead Individual Episodes 2 – 5 ($2.99)
  • Rainbow Moon ($7.99)
  • Rainbow Moon Premium Bundle ($8.79)
  • Rainbow Moon Melodies ($1.59)
  • Söldner-X2: Final Prototype and Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer Bundle ($6.39)
  • Söldner-X2: Final Prototype ($3.99)
  • Söldner-X2: Final Prototype Complete Bundle ($5.59)
  • Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer ($3.19)
  • Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer Soundtrack ($1.59)
  • Söldner-X2: Final Prototype Soundtrack ($1.59)

In addition to all these free games and discounted PSN titles, Sony have also partnered with EPIX, an app for which will be launching on PSN later today. As a perk for being a PlayStation Plus member, EPIX is offering a new movie free every week. Their library includes The Avengers, The Hunger Games, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon—as well as over 3,000 HD movie choices.

EPIX is also offering a free 14-day trial to all PSN users to sample their streaming service—a little taste, if you will. Get the kids hooked and all.
