PS Vita Will Have Skype Support

Thanks to a Brazillian press conference for Sony’s new handheld, we know a few new details about the PS Vita.

One of those details is that, yes, Skype support will still be there. Sony’s PSP currently supports Skype, but after Microsoft purchased the VoIP company recently, some wondered if that would have an effect on it coming to future Sony products. Seems not.

Skype on the PS Vita will be especially handy if you purchase the 3G version of the handheld, as then you’d be able to make Skype calls without the need of having a WiFi access point nearby.
