PS3 Firmware Update 4.20 Fixes Audio Issues, Finally Groups Save Files

Sony is making a few tweaks to the PlayStation 3′s system software, but update 4.20 seems like it’s not going to include everything that much of the PS3 faithful have been wishing for.
But, if you’re part of the group that’s been vocal about the one-sided feedback in your headsets, this update will give you the ability to tweak the audio as you see fit. Additionally, 7.1 virtual surround sound will be supported for Blu-ray and DVD discs, so you don’t have to switch machines to watch movies.
(Hopefully, that smart surround sound update will also apply to Netflix.)
While PlayStation fans have long been clamoring for PS Vita Trophies in the XrossMediaBar, friends list adjustments, and full game installations, they’ll apparently have to wait a while longer. At the very least, it’ll be a little easier to sift through your save files—PS3 update 4.20 will (finally!) allow you to select, copy, and delete them in groups.
