Q-Games, makers of the PixelJunk series, have created a new music visualizer app for the PlayStation 3 that will be available for download on PSN next week.

“Visualizer lets you loop the app on a single favorite graphic style, randomize them, or cycle through the full range of procedurally-generated, dynamic, high-def, real-time visualizers,” says former 1UP and EGM all-star, now Q-Games producer, James Mielke. “This makes Visualizer a perfect visual accessory for your PS3, whether you need some eye-popping backdrops for a house party, or you just want some soothing HD screensavers to dress up your television with.”

As described in a video demo (embedded below), Visualizer employs six high-def 1080p visualizers with dozens of variations.

The Visualizer app will be available on the North American PlayStation Store August 13 priced at $2.99 for the first two weeks, then $4.99 after.
