Back in April, Amazon launched their Amazon Instant Video service on the PlayStation 3, bringing owners of Sony’s console the access to a wide variety of video content. Now—for those of you who haven’t tried it out yet—Amazon wants to give you $5 in free credit to do so.

The catch? You can’t have registered your PS3 for Amazon Instant Video yet—if you have, then sadly you’re ineligible. If you have not, however, then today’s your lucky day! Or, I should say, today until December 1st, 2012, which is the last day to sign up for this offer. Also, as is usual with these kinds of things, this offer is for US residents only. (Even more reason for the rest of the world to hate us, I suppose.)

Once you’ve got your $5 credit, you’ll just need to make sure that you use it to purchase or rent something before December 31st, 2012—otherwise, your five bucks of digital cash will be gone forever.

If you want to sign up for the offer, hit the link below.
