RUMOR: PS4 Controller Features “Share” Button For Recording Gaming

According to Edge, the “Share” button previously mentioned in PS4 controller rumors will record and distribute onscreen footage.

Rumors about the “Share” button first surfaced last week, along with news of a potential new PS4 controller.

“A new Share button on the controller will, when pressed, launch a new feature that will allow screenshots and video to be distributed online,” Edge reports. “The PS4 hardware will continually record the most recent 15 minutes of onscreen action (with no processing penalty, claims our source), which users will then be able to edit and broadcast via the Internet.

Just yesterday, Sony teased a major PlayStation-related announcement coming February 20 with a video hinting at PS4′s reveal. Assume much more speculation, rumor, and hearsay to crop up in the weeks to come.
