If you don’t have a copy of Shadow of the Colussus for PlayStation 2 with a backwards-compatible PS3 console (or the HD remake), getting in some time with Team Ico’s ground-breaking game is a hassle. Luckily, the PSN Summer Sale is offering a downloadable version of it on the cheap—and if you’re a subscriber, it’s less than 10 bucks.

Sony’s PSN Summer Sale has more games that’ll be going up for sale on Tuesday, July 3rd. Here’s everything else you can list under consideration for your July 4th holiday:

  • Gotham City Impostors: $10.49 — $7.34 with PS Plus
  • NBA Jam: On Fire Edition: $10.49 — $7.34 with PS Plus
  • Shadow of the Colossus: $13.99 — $9.79 with PS Plus
  • Infamous: Festival of Blood: $6.99 — $4.89 with PS Plus
  • Crysis: $13.99 — $9.79 with PS Plus
  • Killzone 3 Multiplayer: $10.49 — $7.34 with PS Plus
  • Closure: $13.99 — $9.79 with PS Plus
  • Jurassic Park: $13.99 — $9.79 with PS Plus
  • Worms Ultimate Mayhem: $10.49 — $7.34 with PS Plus
  • The House of the Dead 3: $4.89 — 3.42 with PS Plus
  • Real Steel: $6.99 — $4.89 with PS Plus

None of the games in question really seems to scream “summer,” and if what to consider the timing with the national holiday, I guess that NBA Jam and Real Steel sort of fit the American sports angle there. Or maybe is this just a random collection of games that Sony just threw together at the last minute and said, “Meh, someone’ll buy it.”

To their credit, the PlayStation fanbase isn’t easily pacified, and the PlayStation Blog’s thread is filled with questions about PS1 Classics support on the PS Vita. Make your voices heard, folks!
