Update: Microsoft has now officially announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be free to play from November 8th until November 11th on Xbox One. However, players can download and install the free version from today.

Original Story: Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One can currently download and play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for free.

Microsoft is yet to officially announce the offer, but the game is currently listed as free for a limited time. Simply head over to the Microsoft Store to download and play the game with no restrictions. An end date for the offer is not mentioned.

Recently, Microsoft teased that it would have big news for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players during its upcoming X018 event, which takes place this weekend. It’s expected that the company will officially unveil the game’s fourth winter-themed map that was teased earlier this year.

In other news, recent rumors suggest that the battle royale game will be making the jump to PlayStation 4 next month.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on Xbox One and PC.
