PUBG Corp. is prepping a huge update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PC that adds new features and qualify of life improvements.
Kicking things off is the introduction of the bullet penetration system for arms and hands. Following the update, when a bullet hits an enemy’s arm/hand, it will penetrate following its ballistic curve. Under this system, if the hand/arm blocks a vulnerable body part, the full damage of the bullet hitting that body part will be applied, but if no vulnerable part if blocked then normal hand/arm damage will be applied.
As well as this, dynamic weather has been added to Erangel and Miramar, and a number of changes have been made to both maps, including the addition of small clusters of houses to some areas of Erangel and more dirt roads for Miramar.
Other changes include improvements to the dropping items UI and weapon attachment management UI, the ability to place map markers without opening the map, and improvements to frame rate.
