PUBG Corp. has made a new update available for testing on PC that includes the second round of rebalancing for the Vikendi map.
“We have had ongoing discussions about how to make Vikendi more attractive to players since the First Vikendi Item Spawn Rebalance in January,” the developer wrote in the patch notes. “We have conducted several internal tests and reviewed player feedback in order to improve the gameplay experience on Vikendi’s unique landscape. We are now implementing our 2nd round of Vikendi rebalancing.”
The update makes changes to the blue zone, increases the spawn rate of four-wheel drive vehicles, increases the spawn rate of assault rifles and sniper rifles, and reduces the loot found in the map’s secret cave due to it no longer being a secret. Following the update, care packages will no longer spawn in the cave and the variety of loot found in there has been increased.
In terms of new additions, the update introduces tactical map markers. This system lets player add one of six new markers to the map: Attack, Danger, Defend, Loot, Regroup, and Vehicle. These markers will appear on the world map, minimap, and compass.
Other changes include improvements to the throwable crosshair, minimap, parachuting UI, and Flare Gun UI. Take a look at the full patch notes here.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
