The launch trailer for Sony’s child-friendly platformer Puppeteer sets up the general premise and gameplay mechanics.

Puppeteer is a whimsical platformer inspired by Japanese bunraku puppet theater developed by SCE Japan Studios. Players take on the role of Kutaro, an Earth-born boy pulled to the moon by the Moon Bear King who must use a pair of magical scissors called Calibrus to stop the aforementioned Moon Bear King. Oh, also, homebear stole Kutaro’s head, forcing the boy to replace it throughout the game with various themed puppet noggins.

Puppeteer is out now on PlayStation 3. For more on this endearing title, check out Josh’s review.
