The newest gameplay trailer for Rage 2 gives fans an extended look at the game’s E3 2018 mission.
The Eden Assault mission involves our hero fighting his way to the Eden Space Port, where he then had to push through waves of bandits from the Goon Squad faction in order to call down an EcoPod satellite from orbit. The extended breakdown of the gameplay goes in-depth with each phase of the mission, from the vehicular convoy fight that players will face on the way to the station, to the abilities the character unlocks while fighting bandits once there.
The Goon Squad is only one of several unique hostile factions in the game, each with their own equipment and fighting styles. Players can answer the bandits’ dangerous equipment with their own, such as the Wingstick, which can be upgraded to curve around corners.
The full gameplay breakdown can be found below.
The new trailer came out of the ongoing QuakeCon 2018, from which many other Bethesda announcements and reveals have dropped. Among these was the first gameplay for Doom Eternal, which had just as much blood and guts as fans had hoped for.
Rage 2 is slated to launch sometime in the first half of 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
