Bethesda has confirmed that the long-rumored Scorchers DLC for id Software’s Rage is set to release this week and has released some new screenshots.

The Scorchers add-on features several new single-player missions set across six new areas, which center around you defending the Hager Settlement from a new bandit clan. The DLC also includes new mini-games, a new season of Mutant Bash TV, and a brand new Nail Gun weapon.

If all this wasn’t enough, players will also get a chance to try out a new difficulty mode called “Ultra-Nightmare,” and enjoy a new “Extended Play” option that allows players to continue past the game’s original ending to work on achievements.

The Scorchers is due out this week for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, priced at $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points.

Will you be getting this new add-on or has it come too late? Let us know in the comments below.
