Ubisoft has announced a number of balance changes to Rainbow Six Siege‘s Operators following feedback from testing of Operation Grim Sky.

The Operator undergoing the most changes is new American attacker Maverick. Kicking things off is an increase in the amount of time and damage required to destroy barbed wire using the blowtorch. According to Ubisoft, Maverick is currently too good at destroying barbed wire, so the decision has been made to increase the time it takes to two seconds.

As well as the above, Maverick’s smoke grenade has been replaced with a stun grenade, and the volume of the blowtorch has been increased.

The next Operator being hit is Zofia and her concussion grenades. Ubisoft has decided to reduce the number of grenades for KS79 Lifeline to three due to her having too much utility.

Finally, Glaz will no longer be able to destroy Castle’s Armored Panels with the OTs-03. This is currently a bug in the game, but Ubisoft has decided not to fix it, as it “is a positive way of adjusting both Operators.”

Read the full list of proposed Operator changes and Ubisoft’s reasons for each here.

Rainbow Six Siege‘s Operation Grim Sky update includes two new Operators and a map rework, and is due to hit the live servers next month.
