Rainbow Six Siege producer Sebastien Labbe has hinted at the possibility of a beta test before the game’s launch in 2015.
When asked about the possibility of a beta by OXM he replied: ”What I can say is that for sure, we’re no different from the other online shooters. We want to be online – we’re providing a strong PVP game, and if we want that we need to create a community. So if we wait until the launch, I expect it will be too late.
“There will certainly be things that will occur, but at the moment we can’t talk about that,” he added. “It’s not clearly defined because it’s still a lot of work to do, but certainly there will be some announcements about that. So stay tuned.”
Siege was officially announced during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, and is a multiplayer shooter that sees one team of players acting as a SWAT team trying to infiltrate an area to rescue a hostage, while the other team tries to prevent that from happening.
Rainbow Six Siege is set to launch in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
