Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

The recent Rainbow Six Siege story trailer ended with a hefty tease of things to come, if you know where to look.

The story trailer, titled The Hammer and the Scalpel, takes a peek into the lives of two Rainbow Six operators, Thatcher and Dokkaebi. While Dokkaebi discusses the pressure Thatcher has put her under, a flashback shows Thatcher dealing with some unfriendly loan sharks, but it’s the end of Dokkaebi’s counseling session that has players stirring.

The final scene of the trailer seems to allude to a new Danish operator. It depicts a detective board with plenty of cryptic messages and pictures on, one of which is a map of Denmark in the bottom left, which we know to be the home country of one operator from Siege‘s second season of content. This means the post-it on top with the words “blend and adapt”—among others—could likely pertain to the operator’s ability, possibly involving some sort of camouflage. These hints are also located on what appears to be the Attacker side of the board, suggesting the Danish operator will be an Attacker.

This is not the only tease the board has for us, either. A blueprint of the game’s various gadgets can be seen on the far left of the image, listing tools like shields and grenades. Of all the gadgets on the print, only one isn’t already in the game, namely a proximity alarm. The application is fairly obvious, but who will wield it remains to be seen.

In more verifiable Rainbow Six Siege news, two new Australian operators are now on the game’s test server and will launch in the full game soon.
