Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

Ubisoft has pushed a new update live to Rainbow Six Siege‘s test server that includes a couple of big balance adjustments.

The update includes a pretty big nerf to Caveira’s Luison that reduces its damage from 99 to 65, reduces its magazine size from 15 to 12, increases its recoil to make chaining long-range shots more challenging, and increases its hipfire spread.

“Given her current win delta, we feel Cav is a little strong and want to make her less frustrating to play against,” Ubisoft explains. “This change seeks to put more focus on emphasizing her role as a stealth and precision operative.”

Another character being adjusted is Clash. As part of the update, her SPSMG9 has been upgraded to full-automatic fire mode, had its ammo increased from 121 to 161, and has its damage increased from 30 to 33. These changes have been made to “give her a bit more efficiency and firepower,” according to Ubisoft.

Other adjustments include an increase in Kaid’s AUG A3 ADS speed by 33 percent and a decrease in the maximum damage of the MP5. Read the full patch notes here.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
