Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

Ubisoft has finally lifted the lid on its next season of content for Rainbow Six Siege, titled Operation Wind Bastion.

The highlight of the new content is the introduction of two new Operators from Morocco’s GIGR (Groupe d’Intervention de La Gendarmerie Royale): Kaid and Nomad.

Nomad is an attacker who uses an AK-47M and has access to the Airjab Launcher, a custom rifle attachment that allows her to launch Airjab repulsion grenades. These grenades explode when near enemies and disorientate them. While Kaid is a defender who uses his “Rtila” Electroclaw to electrify reinforced walls and hatches, barbed wire, and deployable shields.

Also coming in this update is the new Fortress map, a large daytime map that “features a mudbrick kasbah and iconic architecture unique to the southern region of Morocco.”

“Based on real and existing structures, the many exterior stairs provide unprecedented access to the roof and drop-down points via the towers,” Ubisoft explains. “Housed within the fortified and bare walls of the Kasbah are two floors of living and training space, each with its distinct rooms and halls. The multiple stairs and a ladder allow for rotations between floors.”

Operation Wind Bastion also brings with it a shop revamp that will improve the user experience, introduce a new fullscreen view for weapons, and offer a light theme option.

Other changes include new weapon skins, pro team BDU and headgear, Operator balance changes, and a number of bug fixes. Read the full patch notes here.
