Rayman Legends‘ 28 Invasion Mode levels will be patched into the PlayStation Vita version for free, Ubisoft confirmed today.

“We can confirm that the Invasion Mode will be added via a free patch, at a later date,” Ubisoft communications manager Gary Steinman said in a comment on Ubisoft blog in official announcement about Rayman Legends‘ release.

As reported yesterday—discovered by users on NeoGAF—the Vita version of Rayman Legends lacks the Invasion speed run stages found in the console versions. According to Steinman, they were cut “due to a longer development time than expected.”

Rayman Legends is out now on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U. EGM’s Andrew Fitch reviewed Rayman Legends for Xbox 360, Wii U, and Vita, assigning the lowest score to the Vita version.
