Redbox Instant coming to Xbox 360 “in the very near future,” Microsoft announced today.
Redbox Instant is a joint effort between Redbox Verizon. It is functionally their answer to Netflix.
Subscriptions are priced $8 a month for DVDs, $9 a month for Blu-ray. The app will also allow users to purchase or rent the latest Redbox digital releases without a subscription.
A specific launch date has yet to be revealed, though the app is currently beta, giving a select few early access to Redbox’s streaming service.
