Red Dead Redemption

There is little doubt that this year’s Red Dead Redemption 2 will be one of the most staggeringly large and crushingly deep gaming experiences to ever be released. To aid us in navigating this adventure, developer Rockstar is releasing a complete information guide for the game on launch day.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Complete Official Guide is now available for preorder, published by Piggyback and available through the Rockstar Warehouse and other retailers. The guide will be released in two editions, Standard and Complete, and descriptions posted to the Rockstar blog break down what each edition has to offer:

  • Standard Edition: Packed with essential information about every mission, character and feature of this vast and detailed world, the Standard Edition includes an at-a-glance walkthrough, dedicated maps chapter, comprehensive reference sections, and an all-encompassing index.
  • Collector’s Edition: The premium hardcover Collector’s Edition features everything from the Standard Edition, printed on superior quality art paper, and also includes an exclusive character art gallery.

Both editions will be released on October 26th, the same day as the game’s PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launch. Obviously, Rockstar doesn’t want the community seeing the guide early and having everything spoiled.

While Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently only confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, evidence discovered on one developer’s LinkedIn profile recently boosted the ongoing speculation that a PC release is on the horizon.

He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
