Red Dead Redemption

The grand reveal of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 came with a little something extra for PlayStation 4 gamers.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation 4 users will receive early access to “select online content” when the game launches next year. Considering the staggering scale of the online experiences found in both Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto V, the content could be anything, but more information will reportedly be posted to the PlayStation Blog soon.

Following the initial tease, Red Dead Redemption 2 was finally revealed via its first teaser trailer. The trailer is short on action but long on world-building, showing quite a few scenes of the Western’s beautiful frontier.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is launching in fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which means it’s making it to PC, at least for the time being.

Nick didn’t start gaming until mid-2006. Once his parents finally allowed a console into the house, it was all uphill from there. Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808

Red Dead Redemption 2 has some kind of PS4 timed exclusivity deal

The game itself isn't an exclusive, but certain Red Dead Redemption 2 "online content" will come to PS4 first.
