Earlier in the week, news hit of Redbox launching their Redbox Instant service exclusively on the Xbox 360. However, there’s good news for owners of other gaming consoles.
A Redbox representative told EGMNOW that while the launch of Redbox Instant will indeed initially be exclusively for the Xbox 360, Redbox’s digital streaming service will later be launched for other gaming platforms. While no specific platforms or timeframes have yet been announced, given the importance game consoles play in bringing services such as Redbox Instant to customers, I’d expect launches on both the current crop of systems as well as next-gen platforms.
